Work Avenue Bring GOOGLE to NW London17th November 2016
Last week Work Avenue, the organisation supporting individuals into business and work, teamed up with The Digital Garage from Google to create Start-Up Central, a one-stop-shop event for all entrepreneurs, freelancers, and growing businesses.
Supported by Barnet Council and Barclays, this event saw over 200 delegates come together to learn how to reach more customers online, network and grow their businesses. The first of its kind, this event was attended by a wide cross section of people across the community and industries.
Google’s Digital Garage hosted sessions sharing its online expertise, to help entrepreneurs reach new customers online and grow their businesses. Business advisers and representatives from Barclays Bank and Work Avenue were also on hand to offer their advice and know-how for the budding entrepreneurs.
The business expo, open throughout the whole day, was visited by all delegates. There was a constant buzz around the Google sessions, where participants were able to network and exhibitors offered their business services.
One delegate commented
“In today’s world where the majority of online search is done through Google, understanding how to optimise our online presence through Google is essential in building my business. This is yet another great service Work Avenue has provided for me, helping me towards building a sustainable business.”
Shraga Zaltzman MBE, Chief Executive of Work Avenue commented
“One of the biggest challenges our clients face in building their businesses is knowing what they don’t know. Being able to offer direct access to Google’s expertise has been a fabulous way for us to help our clients learn more about building an effective online presence and taking them one step closer to building sustainable businesses to support them and their families. “We thank Barnet Council and Barclays Bank for their support of Start-Up Central – this is a great opportunity to embrace the digital age.”
Mark Morris, Chairman of Work Avenue commented
“Having attended the event and spoken to the delegates it is inspiring to see how Work Avenue continues to change people’s live and set them on their way to earning a sustainable living.”
