A Day In the Life of the Work Avenue Business Team

Work Avenue’s Business Advisers tell us about a busy day in their working life:

8:30am – Arrive at our desks and go through any outstanding emails and prepare for the day ahead. Keeping on top of our admin is fundamental in ensuring our effectiveness.

9.30am – Tuesday is team meeting day.    This is a really important part of the week where everyone is given the opportunity to discuss any matters. We want to make sure the rest of the Work Avenue team know what we are doing, and also we are updated on what they are up to.

11.00am – Each week we meet with between 10-15 businesses, offering them business advice, guidance and information.  This morning we met with a business that provides web and app development services. It was really encouraging to hear how his business is developing and how he is benefitting from running his business out of WE Hub.  He was so happy with the professional advice he received and was keen to tell his business network that these services are available free of charge.

12.00pm – Today we had our annual WE Hub members lunch. It gave our members the opportunity to network and develop their businesses. With over 100 members and everyone’s busy schedule, it was great to give everyone an excuse to put their pen down and enjoy their lunch hour.

2.30pm – We are proud to have formed a partnership with the Max Barney Foundation, who provide loans to businesses. Today we reviewed three different businesses that are all looking for funding to take their business to the next level.

5.00pm – We finally returned to our desks to catch up on emails and deal with general administration.  Most of our work is client facing, so we really need the time at the beginning and of each day to organise ourselves to ensure we can give the best possible service.
