Gavin Ucko

Gavin Ucko founded The Happy Puzzle Company in 1992, with a £2000 and a £40 per week government grant, taking it to a turnover of more than £7.5m before selling the company to a global player in the toy industry in 2022. In both 2023 and 2024, Gavin appeared on the Hasbro / Mojo Nation’s global list of the ‘100 most influential figures in toy and game design’. With Gavin as CEO, Happy Puzzle won 21 major awards, including three Business of The Year Awards. He also spent 15 years as a volunteer business mentor and he now mentors professionally for companies across the globe.
Mendy Jacobs

Mendy began his bookkeeping journey in 2010, initially taking on clients alongside a full-time career in education. For the first nine years, he ran the business as a true one-man operation. As demand grew and it became clear he couldn’t deliver the level of service he wanted on his own, Mendy expanded by building a small team of trusted freelance associate bookkeepers. When Covid arrived, his role in education became less demanding, giving him the time and space to focus on growing the business further. This proved to be a turning point. Today, Mendy runs Jacobs MF full time and operates in joint partnership with Melinik Fine, with a clear focus on continuing to develop, strengthen and grow the business.
Laura Jackson

Laura Jackson is the co-founder of Popcorn Shed, a globally recognised gourmet popcorn brand established in 2016. What began as a humble kitchen table start-up has now grown into a thriving business, distributing its delectable popcorn products to over 20 countries, with a reach extending from Singapore to the United States.
