Hours: 15-20 hours with room for growth

The Volunteer Program Coordinator is responsible for recruiting, training and providing continuing support to Our Kids First volunteers. The coordinator works with the Volunteer team to ensure the volunteers have the tools and resources to provide vital support to Our Kids First clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing Our Kids First’s Advocate program.

Tasks include:

o Volunteer recruitment

o Developing volunteer training opportunities

o Ongoing communication with volunteers

o Initial coordination between client and volunteer

o Tracking and ongoing evaluation

o Provide ongoing support for volunteers

• Recruit and provide support for additional volunteer programs for Our Kids First. Examples include Shabbos hosts, office support, accountants, etc.

• Provide support for other Our Kids First programs utilizing volunteer support.

• Evaluate volunteer programs and develop approaches to measure and evaluate the effectiveness of volunteer programs.

Job Requirements:

• Must have strong written and oral communications skills.

• Must possess a passion for people and a desire to help others.

• Must feel confident reaching out to leads to recruit new volunteers.

• Individual must be a problem solver and team player.

• Must be open to learning new computer systems.

• Must comfortable with basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
