Key responsibilities
- Assess bridging loan applications from initial enquiry through to completion (reviewing financials, credit histories, valuations, legal documents)
- Assess risk (creditworthiness, LTV, property values) and make funding decisions
- Prepare and present loan recommendations to credit/investment committees
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations
- Collaborate with borrowers, brokers, Originations, and other stakeholders
- Provide support and guidance to junior underwriters (if and where applicable)
What we're looking for
- 2+ years in Real Estate experience (bridging or property finance preferred)
- Strong numeracy, detail orientation, and risk identification
- Knowledge of Land Registry, RICS valuations, property/contract law
- Ability to manage high workload, prioritize, and communicate clearly
- Project-management mindset with a track record of driving efficiency
