Hours: Full-Time, 9am to 5:30pm Monday-Friday (early finish on Fridays).

Intertax is an established and growing dynamic firm of accountants in Hendon London specialising in accounts and tax services. The firm also has an international office in Israel. The firm employs about 7 people in London office.

An opportunity has arisen to join the London office to be part of a team of accounts and bookkeeping staff and service our London based clients. The role is for a senior qualified accountant with well-rounded experience dealing with corporate tax returns for individual companies and groups to manage and develop a portfolio of clients.

Responsibilities and Duties:

The role is ideally suited to a candidate with a high level of experience in accounting and tax for Individual and companies.

This is a broad and varied role that requires excellent organisational skills, the ability to produce high quality work and meet deadlines. The successful candidate will be highly motivated and ambitious and will have an opportunity to progress within the firm.

Core responsibilities include:

● Preparation of personal and corporate tax returns – working independently from start-finish

● Preparation of accounts for corporate and non-corporate entities applying FRS102 1A and FRS 105 and maintaining working paper files to a high and professional standard

● Assisting with due diligence work and other related accounting and tax work

● Working with and supporting the Accounts Manager and Partners on project and ad-hoc work and tax investigations.

● Assisting with HMRC enquiries of all types

● Responsibility for ATED filings

● Report to management and partners on casework and clients’ affairs

● Maintain a broad technical knowledge (apply accounting and tax principles) and be able to communicate advice to clients

The ideal candidate will have the following skills:

● ACCA / ACA / CTA qualified

● 3+ years’ experience working in practice

● Computer literate with good knowledge of MS Office and MS Excel

● Familiar with bookkeeping software such as QuickBooks and Xero

● Experience using TaxFiler and Tax Software for the preparation of Accounts and Personal Tax Returns and submissions to Companies House and HMRC ideally, but training can be provided

● Ability to communicate and interact with staff and clients on a professional level

● Be self-motivated to organise, manage and control their own workload and adhere to client and office deadlines and direction
