We’re an established children’s social care provider who pride ourselves on providing exemplary levels of care and support for all of the children and young people who use our services. We have been delivering Semi-Independent Living Support Services to Looked After Children and Young People since 1995 and recently opened our first Ofsted registered children’s home, with further settings scheduled to open in 2023.

We are looking for a motivated, ambitious, disciplined and adaptable individual to join our fast-paced head office in E5, Hackney. You will build positive relationships with our home managers, and report directly to the CEO, Area Operations Manager and Company Directors.

You will have a proven track record in a similar role, extensive knowledge of recruitment and HR processes. Experience in working for a social care provider, especially children’s services, is preferable.

Responsibilities:

· Ensure any vacant positions within the company are recruited and filled promptly following our Safer Recruitment process. This will begin with advertising the roles online (or liaising with agencies), shortlisting candidates, interviewing, reference checking, applying for DBS, on-boarding & arranging their induction and obtaining their induction paperwork.

· Ensure all staffing files are monitored and compliant. This will involve regular checks on staff DBS status online, right to work etc.

· Ensuring all new staff including agency staff are vetted prior to commencement of employment.

· Review of relevant Policies & Procedures, Location Risk Assessments and other paperwork.

· Maintaining central supervision and training matrixes and where there are shortfalls, addressing this with respective staff and escalating to senior management.

· Property compliance – ensuring all property-related certification is always up to date.

· First point of contact for those contacting Head Office via phone, dealing with such calls and queries as required.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

· 2 years of recruitment experience

· 2 years of HR administrator experience

· Strong IT skills

· Accredited HR CPD qualification or working towards this.
