Job Description
We are seeking a friendly, outgoing, and sales-focused individual to join our team as an Optical Sales Advisor. The successful candidate will assist customers in selecting eyewear, provide professional advice, and deliver excellent customer service in a welcoming retail environment.
This role combines retail sales with an understanding of clinical information relating to eye care and eyewear. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a rewarding career while helping people improve their vision and quality of life.
Requirements:
1. Fluent in both English and Yiddish, and familiar with the local community
2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
3. A positive, customer-focused attitude.
4. Ability to work confidently with customers and provide tailored recommendations.
5. Basic computer literacy.
Person Specification
Essential:
1. Excellent spoken and written English.
2. Strong people skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with customers.
3. Computer literate and comfortable learning new systems.
4. Enthusiastic, professional, and sales-oriented.
Desirable:
1. Previous retail or sales experience, although this is not essential as full training will be provided.

Working Hours
Monday – Thursday: 9:30am – 6:00pm (including a 1-hour lunch break)
Friday:
1. Summer: 9:30am – 2:30pm
2. Winter: 9:30am – 12:30pm
Alternate Sundays: 10:00am – 4:00pm
Holiday Entitlement
1. 14 working days paid annual leave.
2. All Yom Tovim, including Chol Hamoed, are fully paid (the business is closed during these periods).
3. Closed on Erev Yom Kippur and Erev Pesach.
Salary & Benefits
