ROLE OVERVIEW
To lead and deliver Mesila UK’s marketing and communications strategy and activity. The purpose of
this role is to drive awareness of our services, to:
-Reach more beneficiaries
-Help people to understand who we help, how we help, and how easy and confidential it is to engage with us
-Reduce general stigma around financial instability in the Jewish community and amongst our target audiences,
normalising the issues and enabling more people to feel they can reach out to us
This role is part of a passionate team driving financial wellbeing in the Jewish community
RESPONSIBILITIES
This role will be responsible for managing Mesila UK’s marketing and communications activities, including:
-Delivering on, and leading future development of our strategic marketing direction and approach
-Managing our marketing and communications channels including our print advertising, digital newsletter and
social media
-Managing our content strategy including identifying hot topics and translating these into engaging marketing
materials and assets
-Liaising with our financial coaches to understand what’s on our clients’ minds and to gather case studies
-Developing a new team of community ambassadors to advocate for our services in local Jewish communities
-Liaising with Mesila’s marketing leads in the Israel and US branches to ensure appropriate alignment and share best practice
-Utilising technology to enhance our marketing and communications approach
-Managing any marketing interns or volunteers to create or deliver content
-Monthly reporting of marketing activity
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
-3-5 years in a marketing or communications related role
-Experience writing communications strategy and plans
-Experience setting up and running a CRM system
-Experience working with print and digital advertising
-An appreciation of Mesila’s mission and an understanding of Jewish community in the UK
-An interest or experience in financial education and wellbeing
-Great communication and writing skills
-Design experience preferred but not required
