Marketing Manager – Inspiring Interns

Hours: Part time, 3 days per week.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Research, develop and implement communication in line with the marketing strategy for the company
  • Oversee marketing initiatives/activities promoting the company brand
  • Lead on all communication activities for the company in collaboration with the team across all channels (marketing materials, advertising, donor communications, direct mail, marketing campaigns etc.)
  • Develop a strategy for and lead on all communication on social media including X, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn
  • Oversee all written materials including press releases, copy for marketing materials, annual reports, advertisements, website content, social media and other related material, both planned and in response to emergencies
  • Write press releases, copy for marketing materials, advertisements, website content, social media and other related materials as required
  • Design and implement evaluation and monitoring processes to evaluate campaign outcomes against brand and organisation wide objectives, including producing reports for the senior leadership team
  • Ensure consistent messaging and integration of all marketing and communications assets and channels, including development of brand guidelines and key messages for all audiences to communicate the company message
  • Manage the marketing and events budget with input from the senior leadership team
  • Ensure processes and procedures are in place to enable the Marketing department to run effectively
  • Manage and co-ordinate the activities of the Marketing team

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Achieved a marketing or business-related qualification or equivalent experience would be an advantage
  • Demonstrable marketing /communications experience operating at a senior level
  • Experience of leading and developing highly resourceful and results-oriented teams focusing on outcomes and impact
  • Experience of working in a fundraising or sales environment
  • Highly developed verbal, written and presentation skills. Creative, persuasive and diplomatic when presenting ideas.
  • Experience writing copy for press articles and other marketing materials
  • Proven experience of building and maintaining positive relationships with key stakeholders
  • Strong organisational and project management skills with a focus on planning, setting priorities, managing process, and delivering results under tight time constraints
  • A strong team player, who thrives in a collaborative setting and works well within a busy environment
  • Enthusiastic, creative and resourceful self-starter willing to take initiative with confidence
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making judgement
  • Experience using Donorfy or similar fundraising databases
