An early career role for someone creative, organised, and ready to learn the craft of marketing inside a busy, multi-business community organisation. You will work directly with the Marketing Manager and The Head of Marketing & Communications across the day-to-day rhythm of marketing at the Community Organisation.

About the Community Organisation

The Community Organisation is a Jewish community hub working to strengthen Jewish life in Brighton and Hove. We bring people together through food, culture, education and community – creating spaces where Jewish life can be lived, explored and celebrated. Our modern, multi-use site includes residential homes, a nursery, Synagogue, Kosher restaurant, and a year-round programme of cultural and community activity. Our marketing function supports each of these business units while holding the brand and identity of the Community Organisation as a whole.

About the role

We are growing the marketing team to support an ambitious year ahead, with launches across our organisation, and continuous marketing activity across our businesses. This new role exists to bring fresh creative energy and organised support to a busy two-person senior team. This role supports the production and coordination layer of the function.

You will be hands-on across content, creative production, scheduling, and events marketing. You will build branded assets, capture and edit photo and video content, schedule social and email content, draft captions and short-form copy, and keep the day-to-day running of the marketing function organised. You will also be at the front of the team's adoption of AI tools for marketing efficiency, learning and applying these as part of your everyday work. This is a hands-on role with real ownership from day one. You will be supported and developed by senior team members who are invested in your growth.

What you will do

Content production

• Capture photography and video content across the the Community Organisation site, including events, programming, the restaurant, the nursery, and our accommodation

• Edit short-form video content using CapCut (or equivalent) for social media and digital channels

• Build branded creative assets in Canva and Adobe for use across the Community Organisation's businesses

• Work confidently with established brand templates, adapting them for different audiences and channels

Content scheduling and coordination

• Schedule social media content across platforms using Hootsuite

• Coordinate the marketing content calendar across business units

• Manage business profile listings, partner channels, and external content distribution

• Support email marketing scheduling and campaign coordination

Copywriting and content drafting

• Write social media captions, short-form copy, and content variations for different channels

• Draft email templates and supporting marketing content under guidance

• Keep brand tone of voice consistent across everything you produce

Events marketing

• Support the marketing of the Community Organisation's events programme, including Jewish festival activity, cultural events, and business unit events

• Coordinate event collateral, promotional assets, and partner sharing

• Capture event content for use in subsequent campaigns

AI-supported marketing

• Use AI tools as part of your everyday workflow to draft, refine, and accelerate marketing content production

• Contribute to building and refining the team's AI-supported workflows under the guidance of senior team members

Who we are looking for

Essential

• Recent graduate or someone with up to two years of experience in a marketing, content, or communications role

• A creative eye for visual content, with confidence using Canva and willingness to develop in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop and InDesign in particular)

• Comfortable capturing photography and video content, and editing video in CapCut or similar tools

• Strong written communication, with a flair for social media and short-form copy

• Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple ongoing tasks across different businesses

• Genuinely curious about marketing and committed to learning the craft from experienced senior team members

• Comfortable working independently while being part of a small, close team

• Willingness to learn and apply AI tools for marketing workflows

Desirable

• Experience with Hootsuite or another social media scheduling tool

• Some experience with email marketing platforms such as HubSpot or Mailchimp

• An interest in brand and storytelling

• Awareness of Jewish community life and cultural sensitivity (training will be provided where helpful)

What you will gain

• Direct mentoring from senior marketing professionals at the strategic and managerial level

• Real, varied portfolio experience across hospitality, education, wellness, hospitality lets, and community marketing

• Hands-on experience with AI tools applied to professional marketing workflows, an area where most early-career roles are still catching up

• A clear development pathway within the marketing function as the team and the organisation grow

• The chance to contribute meaningfully to a values-led, mission-driven organisation at the heart of Jewish life in Brighton & Hove
