A vacancy has become available in this small home setting for a Manager who will also act as the room leader.

Role:

  • Ensuring high quality childcare and education is provided in a safe and clean room.
  • Ensuring she/he is a role model for staff including high levels of professionalism and standards of appearance.
  • Coaching, mentoring and supervising the Nursery practitioners within the room ensuring they are fulfilling their roles and responsibilities.
  • Providing support to the owner
  • Key worker
  • Supporting staff to cohort track.
  • Ensuring the Early Years Foundation Stage is embedded and adhered to in a fun and stimulating way.
  • Ensuring the room display boards are up to date and relevant.
  • Ensuring the Key Person’s information is up to date
  • To oversee tut be part of the day to day running of the room
  • To be approachable for parents and staff
  • To be responsible for the care, well-being and safety of all children and staff.
  • To ensure the children’s SEND needs are met and all staff are aware
  • To ensure all concerns regarding safeguarding and child protection are responded to promptly and appropriately following policies and procedures.
  • To lead the planning and ensure that the activities are meaningful and relevant.
  • To assist the staff with observation and assessment on a regular basis.
  • To communicate effectively with parents and other visitors to the Nursery
  • To ensure the children’s learning needs, likes, interests and next steps are recorded and incorporated into planning.

Experience:

  • Level 3 qualification in Early Years.
  • 1 year post qualification in senior position (preferred).
