Gan Menachem Hendon are seeking dedicated staff to join our warm and friendly team:

Key workers September 2024 (qualified early years staff, staff looking to qualify or have experience)

LSA for April 2024 start (Job details below)



Essential Criteria:

● Understanding of child adult relationships and play & interaction

● Experience in an educational setting (early years-primary)

● Relevant training or 1-2 years experience in a similar role supporting autistic children

● Experience teaching/supporting skill development through play

● Experience using supportive strategies specifically:

○ Now,Next boards

○ Visual Schedules

○ Motivation and reinforcement systems

● Willing to work with a young person who needs supporting to regulate themselves and the ability to use consistent interventions to do this

Desirable:

● Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team

● Ability to work in both home and school as part of a large and busy family

Person specific areas of strength:

● Ability to establish clear and consistent boundaries

● Strong teamwork skills

● Working collaboratively within a team and taking guidance

● Ability to take initiative and work dynamically with strategies

● Be confident working in fast paced professional environment as part of a school team and multidisciplinary team

● Have an empathetic approach toward understanding and supporting need

● Resilience

Professional Development:

● Role will provide weekly advice and in person training from Speech and Language Therapists (SLT) and Behavioural Therapists, advising on interventions and key principles
