Early Years Room Leader – Nursery

The Early Years Room Leader is responsible for leading the day-to-day running of their designated room, ensuring the highest standards of care, education, safeguarding, and wellbeing for all children. The Room Leader will lead by example, inspire and support colleagues, and create a warm, stimulating, and inclusive environment where every child can thrive and reach their full potential.

Person Specification

• Level 3 (or above) qualification in Early Years Childcare.
• Sound knowledge of the EYFS Framework.
• Excellent understanding of safeguarding procedures.
• Previous experience working in an early years setting.
• Experience leading or supervising a team.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Good written and verbal English.
• Ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
• A caring, patient, enthusiastic, and professional attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Additional information:

• Paediatric First Aid qualification.
• Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Safeguarding Training.
• SENCO knowledge or experience.
• Experience preparing for Ofsted inspections.
• Knowledge of online learning journals.
