About the Role

Working as part of the fundraising team, this role requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, strong organisational skills and initiative. The ideal candidate will have previous administrative experience, an understanding of fundraising principles and knowledge of the Jewish community. This is an exciting opportunity to join the charity at an important stage of its development. As a key point of contact for donors and stakeholders, you will play an important role in building and maintaining strong relationships while representing the charity and embodying its mission and values.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage donor relationships, building and maintaining positive, long-term relationships.

• Accurately record, file and maintain all donation records, ensuring information is complete, accurate and up to date.

• Proactively contact donors to provide updates, acknowledge contributions and respond to queries.

• Prepare donor acknowledgement letters and other correspondence.

• Maintain a high standard of donor care and ensure all interactions are professional, friendly and timely.

• Support the wider fundraising team with administrative tasks and ad-hoc requirements as needed.

• Highly organised, with the ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.

• Excellent attention to detail, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to investigate and resolve issues.

• Driven by accuracy, efficiency and exceptional donor care.

• Proactive, motivated and willing to take initiative.

• Discreet and trustworthy, with the ability to handle sensitive information appropriately.

Desired Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in an administrative or fundraising role.

• An understanding of fundraising principles and donor relations.

• Knowledge or understanding of Jewish communities.

• Fully computer literate and confident using standard office systems.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise professionally with people at all levels.

• Strong organisational and administrative skills.
