Compliance Officer (Support and Care Services)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Regulatory Compliance:

• Stay abreast of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards applicable to domiciliary care services.

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of compliance requirements at the federal, state, and local levels.

2. Policy Development:

• Develop, review, and update policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Communicate changes in regulations and policies to relevant stakeholders within the organization.

3. Training and Education:

• Provide training to staff members on compliance-related topics, ensuring a thorough understanding of regulations and organizational policies.

• Promote a culture of compliance and ethical behavior throughout the organization.

4. Monitoring and Auditing:

• Conduct regular internal audits to assess compliance with established policies and procedures.

• Develop and implement monitoring programs to identify and address areas of non-compliance.

5. Reporting and Documentation:

• Prepare and submit regulatory reports as required by relevant authorities.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of compliance activities, audit results, and corrective actions taken.

6. Risk Assessment:

• Identify and assess potential compliance risks and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.

• Collaborate with relevant departments to implement risk management processes.

7. Investigations and Remediation:

• Conduct investigations into reported compliance concerns or violations.

• Recommend and implement corrective actions to address identified compliance issues.

8. Collaboration with External Entities:

• Liaise with external regulatory agencies and accrediting bodies to ensure ongoing compliance.

• Respond to inquiries and requests for information from regulatory authorities.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Legal Studies, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Certified in Healthcare Compliance – CHC) is a plus.

• Proven experience in a compliance role within the healthcare or domiciliary care industry.

• Strong knowledge of healthcare social healthcare regulations,

• Ability to develop and deliver training programs.

• Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high standards of compliance
