After Covid ended Renato’s business, Renato needed to find another way to earn his living – and quickly. He turned to Work Avenue after his shul recommended us.
He says: “The first lesson I learned was to tailor your skills and experience to meet job requirements. This might sound simple, but I hadn’t applied for a job for so long that even this process was overwhelming. My adviser was by my side throughout the job seeking process and he helped me define exactly what I wanted to do next – to work in Learning & Development and help other people develop.
I also joined some of the workshops and events.
The CV workshop was excellent.
It helped me organise my skills and understand how to present myself to an employer swiftly and positively. The LinkedIn workshop was very useful too. It has provided me with a new tool to network, and opened up new possibilities and connections.
I found a new job as a Work Coach! I am so grateful to the Work Avenue team for helping me to stand on my own feet again! Work Avenue delivers what it promises, and I am proof of that. They can really help to restore confidence, making finding work less scary and lonely. You can also potentially find a new job with their help so that really is the full service.”
