Hours: Full-time, 9.00am – 5.30pm Monday to Friday 

A Managed Service Provider offering support, consultancy and cloud services. Since 2010, they've been a trusted partner to small and medium businesses across London, Hertfordshire and Essex. They're a small technical team where everyone contributes across support, projects and client work.

They are looking for an IT Support Technician to take ownership of support requests and help deliver projects for clients. You will work directly with users, troubleshoot problems, support Microsoft 365 environments and keep client systems running smoothly. You'll also have the chance to work on projects such as Microsoft Intune deployments, security improvements (MFA and Conditional Access), device lifecycle management and network upgrades. The role includes occasional visits to client sites across Hertfordshire, London and Essex.

Key responsibilities:

  • Taking ownership of support tickets from investigation through to resolution
  • Communicating directly with clients and keeping them informed of progress
  • Troubleshooting Windows, Microsoft 365 and common business applications
  • Microsoft 365 user administration and device management
  • Basic network troubleshooting (Wi-Fi, DHCP, DNS, connectivity)
  • Supporting onboarding and offboarding for client staff
  • Assisting Senior Engineers with projects and system improvements
  • Rare out-of-hours work or emergency call-outs, with time off in lieu
  • Contributing to internal documentation and knowledge sharing

Person Specification:

  • Experience in an IT support role
  • Good working knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365 administration
  • Understanding of basic networking (DHCP, DNS, Wi-Fi troubleshooting)
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
  • Able to manage and prioritise multiple support tickets
  • Clear communicator, confident speaking with non-technical users
  • Own vehicle with a valid UK driving licence, and within commuting distance of Shenley
  • Beneficial: MSP experience, helpdesk tools (Halo / Freshdesk) and RMM tools (NinjaOne)
  • Patient, calm, reliable, keen to learn and team-oriented
