About us

We are one of the fastest growing private healthcare clinics in London. Our mission is to provide our patients with a private service of unparalleled safety, quality and efficiency. We are driven by a passion for delivering holistic healthcare, fusing the core traditional aspects of general practice with the latest innovations in technology and medicine.

We offer a unique opportunity to join a CQC-registered private clinic with an exceptionally caring philosophy based on a traditional multidisciplinary general practice model and reflected in our consistently outstanding online reviews. DGA Health is built on a genuine philosophy of safety, quality and efficiency, and we hold ourselves to a governance standard well beyond what is typical for a clinic of our size.

About the role

DGA Health is looking to bring our governance functions in-house on a dedicated, senior basis. This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of a mature, well-documented compliance framework and to shape future development as the clinic continues its rapid growth. You will take independent, end- to-end ownership of the areas below, working largely from home and on your own schedule, with attendance at our practice team and clinical governance meetings. The role suits a pharmacist with strong governance and audit experience particularly well, given the significant medicines management, high-risk monitoring, and clinical safety content of the work. Equally, any candidate with a robust healthcare governance and compliance background who can work independently and confidently will be considered.

Benefits of working with us:

• Real ownership. You will hold genuine responsibility for our governance outputs and take comprehensive ownership of key governance areas of the clinic.

• Complete flexibility. The vast majority of the work can be done remotely, in your own time andyour own schedule.

• A modern, AI-enabled way of working. We are heavily AI-integrated and use this to drive efficiency and safety. You will be supported and encouraged to use AI tools to deliver exceptional outputs

• A mature foundation to build on. Our policy suite, registers and audit programme are already well developed. You will be improving and driving a strong system rather than starting from scratch.

• Genuine influence. As our dedicated governance lead, your judgement will shape how DGA Health demonstrates quality and safety to the CQC.

• Contractor flexibility. Offered on a self-employed basis, ideal alongside other clinical, pharmacy or portfolio work.

Key responsibilities

• Managing and maintaining our clinical risk registers (cancer, dementia, SMI, asthma, learning disability, palliative care, carers, and similar cohorts)

• Managing and maintaining high-risk medication monitoring (statins, DOACs, and others)

• Oversight of controlled drugs governance and cold chain / vaccine storage compliance

• Identifying relevant NICE, CQC and other regulatory updates and disseminating these to the clinical team, keeping them up to date with current guidelines

• Monitoring and actioning MHRA safety alerts relevant to the clinic

• Leading on medicines management governance across the clinic, including policy and dispensing oversight

• Leading and managing the practice's clinical audit programme

• Attending and presenting relevant items at our quarterly Clinical Governance Meeting (remote, via Teams)

• Attending and presenting at our bi-monthly Practice Team Meeting (in person, at the clinic)

Optional Additional Responsibilities

• Preparing for, and in time chairing, the Clinical Governance Meeting

• Preparing CGM documentation and driving the wider governance agenda

• Writing and maintaining clinic policies and procedures

• Maintaining our Master Document Register, ensuring all policies remain in date, version- controlled and inspection-ready

What we're looking for

• A pharmacist background is preferred, particularly for candidates with strong medicines management and audit experience — though this is not an absolute requirement for the right candidate.

• A strong, demonstrable background in clinical governance and compliance

• Confidence working entirely independently, without close supervision or handholding

• Excellent, or actively developing, use of AI tools to improve efficiency, accuracy and output

• Clear, professional written communication, capable of producing CQC-ready documentation

• Comfortable presenting to, and engaging with, a small clinical team

• Able to travel to our clinic in Temple Fortune, NW11 for on-site audit work and practice team meetings

Hours & Remuneration

• Self-employed contractor basis

• From £40 per hour, depending on experience

• Initially 12-18 hours per month, inclusive of meeting attendance.

• The majority of hours worked flexibly

• Must be able to attend our quarterly Clinical Governance Meeting remotely via Teams, and our bi-monthly Practice Team Meeting in person
