We are delighted to announce the launch of the Work Avenue Freelance Agency!
The Freelance Agency connects businesses and charities, who need support in key areas, with skilled freelancers, who are ready to take on immediate short-term projects. It is funded by The Maurice Wohl Foundation.
Our dedicated Work Avenue Freelance Team also provide project management to ensure quality outcomes for all parties.
Work Avenue CEO Debbie Lebrett said: “For small businesses and charities, The Freelance Agency offers affordable, flexible support across key services, helping organisations grow without needing permanent hires.
“For freelancers, we help them find high-quality paid work and build their contact base and career options. They also receive expert mentorship, networking opportunities, and perks like access to our Freelance Agency co-working space at The Wohl Enterprise Hub in Finchley, and the full support of the Work Avenue team.”
The Freelance Agency can support businesses and charities with both one-off projects and longer-term work, whether managing a single person or coordinating a full freelance team. While based in London, its freelancers and services are available nationwide. Services offered include bookkeeping, digital marketing, web design, graphic design, administration, copywriting and more.
The launch of this initiative reflects the growth in contract and freelance work, both within the community and UK-wide. A recent survey by JobLeads found that nearly half (45%) of UK businesses plan to hire more freelancers this year, with one in four British workers considering going freelance to give themselves greater flexibility.
Debbie added: “Freelancing is growing as more people seek flexible, remote work options alongside traditional employment. Our Freelance Agency adds an extra pathway for those building their freelance careers, without taking away from permanent job placement opportunities through Work Avenue.”
