Reports to: Director of Education with close liaison to the Chief Executive

As the Director of Marketing, Events & Communications, you will implement the charity's marketing, events and communications strategies across various platforms and support the delivery of their projects, including their website


This is an exciting role that will cover marketing, PR , events and communications, online and digital, social media, data and reporting activities.

Some of your duties will include:

• To be responsible for and line manage the in-house the marketing and communications team and their outputs

• To be responsible for and line manage the in-house Events team and their outputs

• To be an active member of the Senior Management team

• Acting as a brand and style guardian for the organisation

• Creating and delivering the respective marketing, PR and communications plans

• Responsible for the day to day content and functionality of the organisations website and its digital media footprint, content and operation

• Working with Graphic designers to devise, create and repurpose compelling marketing materials

• Responsible to ensure that all JLE internal and external events are photographed/ videoed accordingly for social media/website purposes.

• To ensure the charity has a strong written media presence and to be proactive in ensuring the activities of the charity are widely reported on.

• To ensure the charity is part of wider communal initiatives

• Planning and creating content for the various social media platforms

• To specifically provide high level support to the ongoing annual fundraising campaigns, events and functions

To be considered for this role, you will need:

• A number of years in a senior management role with line management experience

• A strong ability to set, manage and control event and project budgets

• A proven track record of creating and implementing a wide range of offline and online marketing and communication plans

• Experience of developing and implementing social media campaigns, particularly on Insta, Facebook, & LinkedIn

• Knowledge of dynamic email marketing techniques

• A digital and/or professional marketing qualification would be beneficial to your application

• Familiarity with press work, press releases and working with national or local media would also be an advantage.
