Assistant Operations Manager - Utilities Company (Manchester)

The Company

This utilities company is an award winning, leading energy broker and tenant re-billing consultancy. During this exciting period of growth they are looking to recruit an experienced Manager preferably with knowledge of the energy market or similar. They may look at someone from an accounting background with transferrable skills.

Your duties will include

• Production of detailed documentation gathered from different sources to produce accurate bills based on individual energy consumption.

• Understand and calculate conversions when required

• Analyse meter readings and provide checks and balances as to accuracy 

• Work with customers and colleagues to identify errors and necessary correction 

• Record changes of tenancies to ensure billing accuracy

• Support the management team in the delivery of key projects

• Manage a team and support operations manager in driving best practice 

• Build, develop and manage key relationships internally and externally

• Championing the business and its’ class leading service delivery 

• Use, update and be involved in new IT systems rollouts

• Improve systems, processes and efficiencies

• Ensure availability of sustainable data to allow effective service delivery

• Provide cover and assistance to other billing functions within the business as required

• Be aware of, and work within, corporate and industry standards

Person Specification

You must have excellent Excel skills including data manipulation including, V-Lookups, and pivots

Knowledge of Xero, Sage and Customer Relationship Databases (CRM)

Knowledge of the energy industry preferred

Strong interpersonal and customer skills

Experience of B2B and B2C
