Office & Events Manager- Mother to Mother

  • Location: Working from home and Edgware based office
  • Sector: Community
  • Salary: £30,000+ FTE depending on experience and skills

Hours: Part time - 16 hours per week, fixed hours Mon to Thurs mornings with some need for flexibility around event times.

Type of Role: Temporary with potential to take on permanent role. We are looking for someone who can begin immediately to coordinate our Covid-19 response projects.


Job Description:


Mother to Mother is a charity committed to promoting and protecting the physical and mental health of postnatal women in the community.


Mother to Mother offers both packages of support to individual families and community services and events.


As the organisation expands and the activities grow, we require support with managing our office and events. The successful candidate will join the organisation at an exciting time and be part of making a huge difference to the local Jewish community.


The work will initially be carried out remotely due to the current crisis. When possible, we will move back into our Mother to Mother office which is in Edgware.


Main responsibilities:


Events:

Organising regular events

Responsibility for all logistics surrounding events

Promotion of events via our social media channels, marketing lists

Uploading content onto our website and social media channels

Managing events on the day

Coordinating Covid-19 Response Projects


Administrative duties including, but not limited to:

Keeping records

Filing reports

Managing client database

Liaising with key service providers

Liaising with service users

Payment of bills and invoices

Sending mailouts


Fundraising

Community-level fundraising including initiatives such as small events, raffles and funding campaigns.

Maintaining the donor database


Person Specification:


Education:

Grade C or above in Maths and English GCSE

Degree education desirable


Skills:

Organisational skills

Computer literate, including word and excel.

Understanding of social media

Good verbal and written communication

Able to follow instructions with attention to detail

Accurate and methodical

Efficient at time management

Knowledge of the google platforms and apps desired.

Knowledge of Wix desired.

Driver with own car desired.


Experience:

At least three years of work experience in similar roles desired.
