Finance & Payroll Coordinator- British College of Osteopathic Medicine

ROLE PURPOSE AND SUMMARY OF DUTIES

The purpose of the role is to establish and maintain financial and management procedures of

the college; Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements as relating to Company and

Charity Law. The post holder will be responsible for the management and implementation of

all aspects of the staff payroll including weekly staff clocking, overtime and holidays. They will

also be responsible for production of financial reports (in liaison with the SMG) and

documentation for Management Accounts and dealing with day to day operational issues

within the finance department. In all matters the post holder is required to liaise with the

college’s Senior Management Group.


PERSON SPECIFICATION:


Essential

- Proven track record of working with financial management and reporting

- Proven track record of employee payroll administration including pension administration

- Proven track record of working on cash flow statements, balance sheets, bank

reconciliations and other month end and statutory procedures

- Proven track record of completing annual returns and preparing all material required for

annual audit

- Proven track record of preparation of budgets

- Proficient with SAGE Payroll package

- Excellent working knowledge of SAGE Line 50 accounts

- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages like MS Word, Excel, Outlook

and other financial packages

- ACCA or CIMA full / part qualification or working towards one


Desirable

- Financial Management Experience in a Charity Sector

- Financial Management Experience in the Educational Sector
