Compliance Administrator- CST

As a Compliance Officer, your primary focus will be to support the organisation in driving our compliance culture forward and ensuring that the organisation is compliant in relation to all applicable legislations, regulations and best practice.  

Working closely with the Head of Operations and wider Compliance team your goal will be to ensure that the organisation operates in a legal and ethical manner while meeting our business objectives.  Data protection will also be a key focus of this role.

This is a part time role of 2-3 days per week. 

In this role, you should have the following personal profile:

•    Exceptional problem solving skills with a persistence to see issues resolved 
•    Superb organisational skills with a professional and mature manner 
•    Proactive and results orientated with the determination to see projects through from start to finish
•    Business acumen
•    Customer orientated and understands the urgency of replying to customer requests in a timely fashion
•    A good working knowledge of Data Protection legislation (including the recent changes made through GDPR) 

Your key responsibilities for this role are as follows: 
•    Compliance with legislation, such as the Charity Act, Fundraising Law and Data Protection legislation
•    Compliance throughout the organisation with the essential internal governing policies and documents (such as safeguarding policies, IT security policies and health and safety policies for example)
•    Proactively audit processes, practices and documents to identify weaknesses
•    Review, develop and implement relevant policies and procedures and updates to best practices
•    Address employee concerns or questions on legal compliance
•    Keep abreast of internal standards and business goals
