Finance Assistant

Wealth Management business is seeking a Finance Assistant to join their team and provide ongoing support to the Director of Finance.

The ideal candidate
  • Highly numerate
  • Advanced MS Excel skills including “SUMIF”, “VLOOKUP” & Pivot Tables
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Responsive to tight deadlines 
Key Responsibilities

•    Recording daily all information on the bespoke database relating to gross income received, reconciling with bank receipts, and reporting to Finance Manager in a timely fashion. Assisting Finance Manager with reporting on New Business use of XPlan.

•    Assisting Director of Finance in extracting on a monthly basis from the database:

o    Commission Payable Reports for Registered Individuals
o    Commission Payable Reports for Introducers
o    MI for all Joint Venture partners
o    Revenue by Consultant for appendix to Management Accounts

•    Assisting Director of Finance in dealing with all commission queries from providers, registered individuals and introducers.

•    Assisting Director of Finance in reporting on a weekly basis the time reports of both Registered Individuals and Technical and Administration staff to the Department Heads.

•    Preparing base information to enable Director of Finance to prepare on a monthly basis a schedule of Income Received v Time Costs spent, by Client by RI. Ad hoc Client Time v Income reports for Directors and RI’s.

•   In respect of asset management,  preparing quarterly uploads from the constructed database of all DFM fees and associated Adviser Charges in respect to the bespoke portfolios of client investments under discretionary management for both main platform providers, and direct client fee accounts.

•    Prepare all working papers on asset management “Audit” File for presentation to Auditors and dealing with any queries arising therefrom

•    Prepare Sales Invoices as requested by Account Managers, and posting to Sage. Assist with credit control procedures.

•    Ad-hoc bookkeeping tasks and support with financial accounting preparation as directed by the Director of Finance.

•    Support Director of Finance in annual and ad-hoc budget preparation.

•    Support Director of Finance in the ad-hoc preparation of reports extracting information from the various databases, as required by Directors, or other Managers, RI’s and/or Admin Staff.
