Job Description:

• To provide a positive role model, and to inspire confidence, belonging and pride in our children.

• To enable children to feel cared for

• To contribute towards the ongoing development of our syllabus

• To plan and prepare lessons in advance

• To teach lessons in one class, and to team teach each week as part of our Creative strand

• To support the Head with necessary admin such as updating our syllabus, our lesson archive and our registration system as necessary

Person Specification (The applicant must have the following):

• Confident Hebrew reading with an appropriate level of writing.

• Good interpersonal skills

• Good organisation skills

• Excellent timekeeping

• A basic understanding of the traditions and principles of Reform Judaism, together with a willingness to learn more.

• Care for children, a desire to inspire and lead, energy and hopefully a sense of humour

• An open and collaborative approach to working wht our rabbinic and professional team, lay leaders and parents. Open and approachable personality, welcoming to all, relaxed working at all levels with all types of people

• A high level of integrity and ethics; you will be seen as a role model of integrity and an embodiment of Sha’arei Tsedek’s values and mission

• Professionalism

• Experience of working within a Jewish educational environment would be an advantage
