A vacancy has become available in this small home setting for a Manager who will also act as the room leader.
Role:
- Ensuring high quality childcare and education is provided in a safe and clean room.
- Ensuring she/he is a role model for staff including high levels of professionalism and standards of appearance.
- Coaching, mentoring and supervising the Nursery practitioners within the room ensuring they are fulfilling their roles and responsibilities.
- Providing support to the owner
- Key worker
- Supporting staff to cohort track.
- Ensuring the Early Years Foundation Stage is embedded and adhered to in a fun and stimulating way.
- Ensuring the room display boards are up to date and relevant.
- Ensuring the Key Person’s information is up to date
- To oversee tut be part of the day to day running of the room
- To be approachable for parents and staff
- To be responsible for the care, well-being and safety of all children and staff.
- To ensure the children’s SEND needs are met and all staff are aware
- To ensure all concerns regarding safeguarding and child protection are responded to promptly and appropriately following policies and procedures.
- To lead the planning and ensure that the activities are meaningful and relevant.
- To assist the staff with observation and assessment on a regular basis.
- To communicate effectively with parents and other visitors to the Nursery
- To ensure the children’s learning needs, likes, interests and next steps are recorded and incorporated into planning.
Experience:
- Level 3 qualification in Early Years.
- 1 year post qualification in senior position (preferred).
