Agudas Israel Housing Association provides affordable housing to the UK’s Orthodox Jewish community. We have homes across the country, in all of our kehillas – Stamford Hill, North West London, Manchester, Canvey Island, Westcliff, and I”YH soon in Gateshead. Our diverse portfolio includes homes ranging from classical street properties to modern estates, and includes some of the community’s iconic care facilities such as Schonfeld Square and Beis Brucha Mother and Baby Home. In light of the community’s acute housing need, we will continue to add new homes in the coming years.

Due to retirement of the existing postholder, we are seeking to recruit a Director of Property Services, who will be responsible for the way we manage our properties and be a key part of the executive leadership team, driving forward AIHA’s work.

Key aspects of the role are:

• Overall responsibility for and leadership of our responsive repairs service and planned works programme, delivering to the required standards.

• Ensuring compliance with existing and emerging regulation, legislation and approved codes of practice.

• Responsibility for delivery of AIHA’s Asset Management Strategy, and all property related policies and procedures.

• Leading the Property Services team effectively so that we have motivated staff who are focused on tenant satisfaction and deliver positive results and a culture of continuous improvement.

We are looking for someone with substantial asset management experience, ideally either MCIOB or MRICS, who has good customer-facing and people skills alongside their property management competence.

We can offer an excellent remuneration package, with rewarding and meaningful work in one of the community’s largest and most dynamic organisations.
