Management Accountant - Kisharon

Kisharon is a charity that offers a broad range of education and support for children and adults with learning disabilities.​

Main Responsibilities:

- Production of monthly management accounts and other detailed financial information for Kisharon Enterprises
- Development of budgets for Kisharon Enterprises activities.
- To assist service teams in the interpretation of financial information and to develop managers' financial understanding to inform decision-making.
- To develop mechanisms to facilitate the calculation of the full costs of service provision.-
- To support service teams in the completion of applications for support funding and Housing Benefit applications.
- Management of service charge mechanism in liaison with Operations staff.
- To support Kisharon School in meeting the financial requirements of the DfE arising from the conversion to Free School status.
- To support the Social Enterprise units in developing costing and pricing mechanisms.
- Accounting, reconciliations (inc EPOS and other software) and production of detailed management information for all Kisharon Enterprises activities.
- Other duties as agreed with the Director of Corporate Services.

General Responsibilities

Person Specification

Essential
- Experience in a senior accounting role (3 years +)
- Recognised accounting qualification 
- Excellent numeric skills
- Eye for detail and accuracy
- Able to prioritise work and meet deadlines
- Ability to work unsupervised and use initiative
- Able to communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues and suppliers
- Excellent communication skills- written and verbal
- Good IT skills – MS Office/Outlook
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
- Strong interpersonal skills - deal appropriately with a wide/diverse range of people
- Good administrative and organisational skills
- Motivated to achieve highest standards and ‘go the extra mile’
- Confident, enthusiastic and positive
- Ability to receive direction and follow guidance
- A flexible and adaptable team player
- Reliable and trustworthy
- Punctual and diligent

Desirable
- Knowledge of Sage (50) accounting package
- Social care funding experience
- Good interpersonal skills and empathy with people with learning disabilities
