Office Manager- FZY

FZY are looking for a passionate individual with administrative and financial experience to work as FZY’s Office Manager. This position will have responsibility for office management, the day-to-day financial administration of the organisation, financial assistance on FZY’s programming and relations with many of FZY’s suppliers.

REPORTS TO: FZY Executive Director
HOURS OF WORK: Full-Time (35 hours a week) which may include occasional evening and Sunday work
LOCATION: Hendon – Applicants must have (or must be able to attain) right to live and work in the UK

ABOUT FZY:
The Federation of Zionist Youth (FZY) is a Jewish Zionist Youth Movement. FZY strives to challenge, stimulate, educate, and excite British Jewish Youth with imaginative peer-led programmes on a weekly basis, and on camps, seminars, and events at a national and international level. FZY aims to create a unique and positive atmosphere where all its members feel comfortable to express themselves, develop a strong Jewish and Zionist identity, and have amazing, unforgettable experiences. FZY is the oldest Zionist Youth Movement in the UK at 108 years old and over the past few decades have taken and engaged more Jewish youth with Israel than any other UK organisation.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Day-to-day running of the FZY office ensuring a safe and productive work environment and organising FZY office and hall rentals.
  • Financial administration, payroll and day-to-day account management.
  • Management of the FZY Enrolment Coordinator.
  • Coordinating and organising financial assistance for families on FZY’s programmes with a financial need.
  • Ensuring FZY has up-to-date insurance policies including being FZY’s ATOL registrar.
  • FZY’s welfare officer being the year-round welfare point-person and ensuring DBS checks are up-to-date on all FZY’s employees and volunteers.
  • Administrative support for FZY’s programmes.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
  • Prior experience in a similar role preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional organisational skills.
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Office with advanced Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
  • Experience using database management systems.
  • Appropriate mathematical skills.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Reliable, dependable and with a positive disposition.
