Fundraising Manager- Jewish Volunteering Network

JVN Vision
Every person, regardless of age, gender, ability and personal circumstance, is empowered and encouraged to volunteer, thereby enhancing the fabric of the charity sector and the local, Jewish and wider community.

Role
To pursue and administer new and existing fundraising initiatives/projects in order to deliver additional funds for JVN.

The key objectives are:
•    To control and administer any funding data including a patron database in order to ensure contributions are annualised  
•    To act in a liaison capacity with patrons 
•    To deliver and coordinate at least two fund raising events per annum
•    To step up activity and contact with appropriate Trust Funds and granting bodies
•    To explore corporates who may want to support JVN with their volunteering programmes and funds

Additionally you will:
•    Work with key members of staff and closely with the Trustee Head of Campaigns, to consider creating and acting on key fundraising campaigns as part of the JVN vision and operations’ plan.
•    Ensure that JVN complies with fundraising regulations and the fundraising preference service.  Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) are also important to the fundraising role.

This is a 2.5 day per week position involving some evening meetings and unsociable hours.
You will be set targets but will have the opportunity to make your distinctive mark it this role.
The position reports to the JVN Director.
A small advisory, Trustee-led subcommittee will support this position.

Person Specification
•    You will have at least two years’ experience in charity fund raising in a management role
•    You will be articulate, energetic and creative
•    You will have good IT skills
•    You will be flexible with your time and a good team player
