Management & Property Accountant- Investream

The successful applicant will be working within a small team, with responsibility for a portfolio of commercial properties. Attention to detail, the ability to work under pressure and an interest in commercial property are important.  Must be self-motivated and able to work to deadlines.

The main duties include:

•    Preparation of management accounts including dealing with prepayments, accruals and depreciation.
•    Transaction accounting for property acquisitions and disposals.
•    Responsibility for the entire service charge accounts function.
•    Preparing year-end service charge accounts and dealing with queries from tenants.
•    Assist in the production of quarterly activity reports.
•    Prepare and maintain investment / development budgets.
•    Maintenance of property and CRM software system.
•    Raising rent, service charge and other demands.
•    Reconciliation of bank accounts.
•    Processing and inputting authorised sales and purchase ledger invoices.
•    Preparation and submission of VAT returns.
•    Liaison with external advisors for the preparation of end of year statutory financial statements and tax returns.
•    Liaison with external advisors on payroll related matters, and making monthly pension submissions and payments.
•    Cashflow forecasts and Excel modelling.

Skills: 

•    Experience with Quickbooks.
•    Relevant service charge experience.
•    Knowledge of leases.
•    Good Excel skills.
•    Strong verbal and written communication skills.
•    Knowledge of Propman property management and accounting system.
•    Knowledge of lease/tenancy documents and contract agreements.
•    Knowledge of loan covenant reporting. 
•    Coordinate with advisers on deals and tax.
