Operations Manager (maternity cover) - Lubavitch UK

Chabad Lubavitch UK is looking to recruit a creative, reliable and dedicated Operations Manager (maternity cover) who will be directly supporting and working with the Chief Executive on centralised organisational projects.
 Chabad Lubavitch is one of the largest and fastest growing UK Jewish charities, offering a wide variety of services through its network of Chabad Centres, Educational Institutions, Social Welfare projects and other initiatives, engaging with people of all ages, from all backgrounds and from across the spectrum.
 
Job Description:
 
The role involves a wide variety of responsibilities including:
  • General office management and administration
  • Banking and finance management
  • Management and development of donor relations and correspondence    
  • Database Management
  • Management and updating of website and social media content
  • Development of brand awareness through marketing initiatives
  • Overseeing and coordinating internal communications activity
  • Organising and managing major communal events (working with various partnered firms and organisations
  • Budget Management
  • Diary management
  • Any other supportive tasks as directed by the Chief Executive
Person Specification:
  • Educated to degree level, or equivalent, with at least two years’ previous experience in a similar role
  • Proven track record of efficient office management and strong organisational skills
  • Experience of event management/coordination
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of computer and database management skills essential
  • Experienced in use of social media and website updating
  • Some experience of website design/maintenance useful
  • Team player but also able to work using own initiative
  • Ability to produce high quality work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Leadership ability and able to motivate others (eg volunteers/ co-workers)
  • Knowledge of the Jewish community, the charity or communal sector desirable
  • Ability to juggle a busy and varied workload, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
The role is full time but part time (minimum 30 hours) will be considered for the right candidate.
