Retail Sales Executive- RCUK Retail Team

Hours: Mon - Thurs: 9:30am – 6:00pm (Tuesday until 8:00pm – once per month), Fri: 9:30am – 2:00pm, Sun/Bank Holiday (twice per month) 10:00am-3:00pm
Contractual Status: Full Time, Permanent
Probationary Period: 3 months

Job Purpose:
RCUK is searching for a Sales Assistant to be responsible for all retail sales activities from the time a client enters the branch to closing the sale and then to maintain the customer relationship. The successful candidate will be able to elevate company standards and provide excellent customer service. This role is based in the RCUK N16 branch.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Welcome customers into the branch by greeting them and offering them assistance
2. Establish customer requirements by asking them questions and assessing their needs
3. Advise customers by providing additional information on products or services in branch, by email or by telephone
4. Help customers make selections by building customer confidence; offering suggestions and cross sell products and services
5. Remain knowledgeable on products and services offered
6. Maintain a presentable retail work environment and professional space, ensuring that stock is kept locked away where appropriate
7. Be polite and provide excellent customer service at all times
8. “Go the extra mile” to drive sales

• Proven working experience as a sales associate
• Interest in technology and telecommunications
• Be presentable at all times
• Be proficient in English. Other languages will be of benefit in this role, but are not essential
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Customer service driven
• Must be able to multi task
• Be organised by nature and demonstrate good recording skills
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Take initiative, be able to prioritise and be a good team player
• Hold all work-related information and materials confidential

Skills and Qualifications:
• Excellent IT skills, specifically Microsoft, Excel, Outlook and Word
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
