Work Avenue has partnered with the Start-up Loans Company, a government backed loan fund designed to support entrepreneurs kick-start their business and encourage innovation across the country.

Entrepreneurs who have a great business idea but need money and expertise to make it a reality can access Work Avenue’s services together with a Start-up Loan.

Following a needs analysis, entrepreneurs with a proven need, whose business has been trading for less than 2 years are invited to apply for a Start-up Loan. Money lent will support the initial costs of the business and help it succeed in the early days.

Work Avenue will pair you up with a mentor to work with you in ensuring the success of your venture. You can also participate in all Work Avenue seminars, surgeries and networking events.

To date Work Avenue has lent over £700,000 to new businesses, ranging from a mobile mechanic and online gift retailer to a range of diet foods and a canvas printing business.

A Start-up Loan is a personal loan for business purposes. The Start-up Loans Company can only lend to applicants who are 18 years or older at the time of their application. Individuals can only receive one loan, however more than one partner in a business can be eligible to apply for a Start-up Loan. Please note that you will be credit checked as part of your application for a Start-up Loan.
