WE Hub Huddles, Work Avenue’s free monthly networking sessions, aim to bring entrepreneurs and freelancers together to share ideas, network and learn something useful for their business. Each huddle is relaxed and interactive, ensuring all participants feel comfortable to raise questions and share their business concerns and thoughts.
Launching our new programme last April, the first presentation saw our previous CEO Shraga Zaltzman discussing how to maximise your professional network. In excess of forty people learnt the importance of keeping an open mind when approaching any networking opportunity.
The second session, led by Brad Lazarus of Goliath Properties, explained exactly how and why you should outsource for your business. He presented the benefits of outsourcing and how it has increased his efficiency, allowing more time to focus on his core business.
The WE Hub Huddle programme aims to provide something for everyone’s business needs. Becky Howard, of Becky Howard Media, presented to a packed room of participants, how to build a brand on social media for no money. She delved into the importance of social media, in particular Twitter, and how small businesses are able to improve their online presence without investing any money.
Vanilla Films gave our last session before we finished for summer. Co-founders Karen and Debra described to over 50 people, the importance of producing video content for small businesses. They highlighted specific examples of impactful video campaigns, from both large corporations and small businesses.
We were excited to kick start our autumn term this week with Sasha Frieze of The Business Narrative. The Business Narrative is an events and marketing consultancy helping clients create and deliver marketing campaigns and events. Sasha discussed her top marketing tips, identifying the low cost and high impact methods for small and micro businesses to turn marketing into revenue.
